Scores Of Villagers Killed By Armed Bandits In Zamfara State (Photos)


Suspected armed bandits have killed at least 8 people  in an attack on Dogon Daji village in Maru local government area of Zamfara state. The attack came barely two weeks after a notorious cattle rustling kingpin called Buharin Daji was killed by one of the repentant bandits and his close associate known as Dogo Gide.
Last month, 41 people were killed in an attack on Birane village by the suspected armed bandits in Zurmi local government area of the state.
According to Daily Trust, a resident, Yusha’u Bingi said 7 persons were buried in the village adding that some residents were also abducted by the armed bandits.
A former councillor identified as Musa Umar Bini who represented Bingi,  the political ward of Dogon Daji village told Daily Trust that information reaching him indicated that 8 residents were killed in the attack.
He said the armed bandits had earlier attempted to attack Bozaya, Tungar Rakumi, Dibgawa and Danbore villages all in Maru local government area of the state.
He added that the armed bandits have been intercepting and killing residents around the communities in the area ever since the notorious cattle rustling kingpin called Buharin Daji was killed.
